QA Automation is a versatile career path. Most common routes: - Classic: Manual QA → QA Automation (after 6–12 months) → Automation Architect - Direct: non-technical background → QAA (Mate academy 600h) → Automation Engineer - Move to development: Junior QAA → Junior Frontend (already knowing JS and Playwright) - Specialization: Performance Testing, Security Testing, Mobile Automation. QAA gives you technical foundations (JavaScript, Git, CI/CD) that open the door to many roles. From mid-senior you can also move into DevOps, SRE, or Engineering Management.
