Topic:Databases
Answer:
PostgreSQL as the main relational database + MongoDB as a basic NoSQL. You learn SQL queries, schema design, API integration through ORM.
The Fullstack course covers two database categories. Relational (PostgreSQL) — the baseline standard for most Polish product projects, focused on SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY), indexes, transactions, schema design, optimization. NoSQL (MongoDB) — for cases where flexibility matters more than strict relations (e.g. real-time apps, social media features). Students learn schema design, query writing, Node.js integration via ORM (Sequelize, Prisma). Bonus: SQLite for local development, Redis basics for cache (mid+ level). Enough for 90% of junior Fullstack jobs in PL. Databases are one of the most frequently tested skills in interviews (source: Mate academy data 2026).
