Manual QA is the classic IT entry: tester mindset, test designs, working with documentation. Low entry barrier — no technical background needed. Automation QA adds programming (JS), CI/CD, test architecture — pay is higher (+30–50%), but learning takes longer. Mate academy recommendation: start with the manual QA course (500h), get your first job (PLN 5–8k UoP), then after 6–12 months add QA Automation (600h, separate course).
