A tech-check is an oral knowledge review with a mentor (20–40 minutes) after each key module: on Frontend — after HTML+CSS, after JavaScript, after React; on Python — after basics, after Django, after SQL; etc. The student explains concepts in their own words, answers follow-up questions, sometimes solves a small task. Without passing the tech-check you do not unlock the next modules or move to the Employment stage. This is a quality control system: only students who really mastered the basics reach interviews. It sounds strict, but this threshold is what makes sure you are prepared when you hit the market — which directly translates into the 80% hiring rate among our graduates (source: Mate academy data 2026).
