Topic:Ideal candidate
Answer:
Minimum B1, B2+ preferred. Materials are in Polish, but technical docs and many jobs are in English. You can add an English module.
Minimum requirements depend on your career goals. For studying at Mate academy: B1 is enough (you can read technical documentation, basic communication). The course itself is in Polish — materials, lessons, mentors, Q&A. For working in Polish companies: B1 is the minimum threshold, but B2 significantly raises your chances. For international companies, foreign projects, and higher salaries — Upper-Intermediate (B2) and above is practically required. If you want to raise your English level alongside the course, you can add our extra English module: placement test, group classes 4 times a week with teachers, materials tailored to IT. It is an investment that pays back quickly when looking for work (source: Mate academy data 2026).
