Answer:
No. 90% of our graduates started without a technical background. What counts is motivation, discipline, and readiness to study systematically.
You do not need a technical background to start at Mate academy. 9 out of 10 of our students (90%) start without technical education or IT experience. Our graduates come from the most varied industries: former Biedronka employees, McDonald-s staff, models, civil engineers, teachers, salespeople, mums on parental leave. Courses are designed from day one for people without a technical background: the first modules are fundamental basics, complexity builds up after that. What counts: motivation, readiness to work regularly (15–40 hours per week), the ability to ask for help, English at a B1 level (to read documentation). The rest we will learn together (source: Mate academy data 2026).
