How long does it take to hear back after applying?
We usually respond within 7 business days. If we need more time, we’ll definitely let you know — you won’t be left without a reply.
How long does it take to get feedback after each hiring step?
We usually provide feedback within 2–3 business days after each stage. If it takes longer, your recruiter will let you know in advance.
Do I need a technical background to work at Mate academy?
No, we have many non-technical positions. The main thing is your experience and skills. Just show in your resume why you are a good fit for us.
How can I prepare for an interview?
Preparation is already half the success! Reread the job description and think about which of your skills will help in this role. We love asking real-life questions, so it’s great to have a few examples from your own experience. Also, learn who we are: our values, culture, and courses. This way, you’ll feel more confident and immediately understand if Mate is the right fit for you.
How big are the teams? Will I work with people in similar roles?
There are small teams of 2–3 people and larger ones as well. Product teams are fully cross-functional — designers, developers, and marketers work together. Whether there’s someone with the same role next to you depends on the specific team.
What’s onboarding like?
To make you feel comfortable from day one, we prepare everything in advance — equipment, accesses, and more. You’ll get a checklist for the entire onboarding period and always have someone to reach out to for help. During the probation period, you’ll also have weekly 1:1s with your manager — a space to ask questions, get advice, and make sure everything’s going well.
Can I work remotely?
In Ukraine, we have a hybrid format. We love working in person because it gives us energy. Our Kyiv office is located in the city center — fully autonomous even during blackouts, with a shelter, lunches, and a pet-friendly atmosphere.
Are there opportunities to grow — career-wise and financially?
